Retreat Cancellation Policy


We hope you can join us for any of our Beach Retreats!


Both you - the participant - and us - the host - make financial commitments to ensure these Beach Retreats happen and it is our intention to be as upfront as possible about the cancellation process.

We hope cancelling is not something either of us ever has to do, but communicating and understanding our options upfront is the best way to make sure we’re on the same page. But if there are circumstances that require you - or us - to cancel one of our events, we want to lay out our policy so you know in advance and can plan accordingly.


Beach Retreat Payment

You can reserve your place at a Beach Retreat by paying a deposit or paying the full balance amount. The full balance is due by a specified DATE, which is at least 30 days in advance of the Beach Retreat.

For 2017 Beach Retreats, the full balance due date is August 31, 2017.

Once your deposit and/or balance is paid, you will receive a confirmation email from us that we received it.


Cancellation Policy


If YOU Cancel The Beach Retreat:

All cancellation requests must be made by the Balance Due date in writing to the host at this email address: [email protected] .

For 2017 Beach Retreats, this date is August 31, 2017. (Subject to change in following years.)

If you cancel on or before August 31, 2017, you will receive a full refund, less a $99 USD processing fee.

If you cancel on or after September 1, 2017, you will receive a 100% credit to the following year’s Beach Retreats offerings, to be used within 12 months.

Beach Retreat registrations and fees are not transferable to other people or events.

Please note that there will be no refunds or discounts for arriving late, leaving early, flight cancellations, travel delays, or illness. If you cancel your participation for any reason, the cancellation policy will apply, with no exceptions, in order to honor our financial commitments to the venue and vendors.


If WE Cancel The Beach Retreat:

If a Beach Retreat is cancelled by the host or venue, you will receive a full refund on your balance or deposit, or if preferred, a credit towards another Beach Retreat.

We have never had to cancel a Beach Retreat, however, if we do cancel one due to too few participants, we will refund you all deposits and payments you have paid. This decision will be made at least 30 days in advance of the Beach Retreat.

Unfortunately, we cannot compensate you for airfare or travel costs incurred. In the unlikely event that we must cancel a retreat due to weather, natural disaster, or an Act of God, we will only be able to refund you once we receive a refund from the venue.

To protect yourself and to reduce these risks, we highly recommend you purchase travel insurance.


Travel Insurance Is Recommended – Just In Case!

The best way to protect yourself from any unforeseen circumstance is to purchase travel insurance. It is quite comprehensive and covers many potentials and incidents, including:

  • if you cancel your participation in the retreat
  • if a beach retreat is cancelled due to weather, natural disaster, or not enough participants
  • medical expenses, injuries, or unexpected illness
  • any lost luggage or damaged items
  • cancelled flights, airline delays, or travel issues


TRAVELGUARD is a highly recommended provider as they offer a variety of travel insurances, including a comprehensive “cancel for any reason” policy.

You must contact Travelguard and purchase the policy within 15 days of buying your airline tickets or incurring any costs for any part of your travel. You can also just insure your air tickets. Travelguard can give you quotes for each scenario.
